Interdisciplinary seminar of Orel State University SPIE Student Chapter

May 18, 2017, an interdisciplinary seminar on the application of optical methods in biotechnology and pharmaceutics was held for students of the specialty "Pharmacy" of the Medical Institute of the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy (group 15, 3rd year). It was held as part of the activity of Orel State University SPIE Student Chapter and the Medical Institute, in particular the assistant of the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy Ovchinnikova A.Yu. Students were told about the opportunities for taking part in the work of Orel State University SPIE Student Chapter, and the lecture "The use of non-invasive optical methods for evaluating the effectiveness of drug delivery" was read.

The intern-researcher of the laboratory of biomedical photonics of the University Clinic Stelmashchuk O.A. organized a sightseeing tour in the laboratory of the department "Production chemistry and biotechnology" of the Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering and in the laboratory of biomedical photonics of the University Clinic. The students got acquainted with the main scientific directions of these structural units. This seminar is aimed to develop interdisciplinary scientific links for further joint research.
