Researcher of the Scientific-Educational Center "Biomedical Engineering" Victor Dremin made a report on the world's most prestigious international conference in the field of photonics and optical engineering SPIE "Photonics West" (San Francisco, USA, January, 28 – February, 2, 2017) in the Biophotonics section "Biophotonics and Biomedical Optics Conference".

Participation in the international conference “PhysicA SPb 2016”" and joint experiments at the ITMO University

The delegation of the laboratory of biomedical photonics of Scientific-Educational Center "Biomedical Engineering" has participated in the international conference «PhysicA SPb 2016" held at the Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences on 1-3 November 2016.

In addition, experimental studies have been conducted at the department of computer photonics and videoinformatics of the ITMO University.

Participation in the work of the Chinese-Russian roundtable on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (Shanghai, China)

The delegation of our university took part in the round table discussion devoted to the prospects of development of bilateral relations in the sphere of science and innovation as part of the 20th session of the Russian-Chinese subcommittee on scientific and technical cooperation of the Commission on the preparation of the regular meetings of the Heads of Government of the Russian Federation and China.

Leading researcher of the laboratory of biomedical photonics of Scientific-Educational Center "Biomedical Engineering" A.V. Dunaev together with British colleagues from the University of Dundee (Dundee, Scotland) and Aston University (Birmingham, England) has published a new article “Optical redox ratio and endogenous porphyrins in the detection of urinary bladder cancer: A patient biopsy analysis” in the journal “Journal of Biophotonics”.

XX International Symposium “Saratov Fall Meeting – 2016”

The team of our Scientific-Educational Center participated and successfully performed at the XX-th International Symposium "Saratov Fall Meeting - 2016" held in the National Research Saratov State University on 26-30 of September 2016.

II All-Russian Scientific Forum "Science of the future – science for youth"

On 20-23 September one of the most important scientific events of this year was held - 2nd International Scientific Conference "Science of the Future" (Kazan), organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. This year, in conjunction with the conference at the site of the Kazan Federal University II All-Russian Scientific Forum "Science of the future – science of the youth” was also held.

Internship at Aston University (Birmingham, UK)

On June 29, 2016 the researchers of Scientific-Educational Center “Biomedical Engineering” Irina Makovik and Victor Dremin arrived in the Optoelectronics & Biomedical Photonics laboratory of Aston University (Birmingham, UK) for a three-month internship.
