Successful performance of students from OGU at the XI Congress of Young Scientists

 An interdisciplinary team of students from Orel State University named after I.S. Turgenev, that performs its scientific work in the Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics and the Cell Physiology and Pathology Laboratory, took part in the XI All-Russian Congress of Young Scientists. There they successfully presented the results of their research work. The congress was held in a mixed format on April 4-8, 2022 in St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO University).

In the section "Methods of visualization of the internal structure of biological objects" the following papers were presented:

"Receptor-independent effects of adrenaline on oxidative phosphorylation mediated by products of hormone deamination by monoamine oxidase A". The work was supported by the grant of the Government of the Russian Federation № 075-15-2019-1877 "Mitochondria as targets in the mechanism of neurodegenerative diseases".

2. The report of the 3rd year student in the specialty 19.03.01 "Biotechnology", the research assistant of the Cell Physiology and Pathology Laboratory — Marina Pogonyalova (Pogonyalova M.Y., Popov D.Yu., Kuznetsova E.A., Vinokurov A.Yu.) "Assessment of oxidative stress level in cells of patients diagnosed with endometriosis". The work was supported by the grant of the Government of the Russian Federation № 075-15-2019-1877 "Mitochondria as targets in the mechanism of neurodegenerative diseases".

3. The report of the 4th year student in the specialty 19.03.01 "Biotechnology", the research assistant of the Cell Physiology and Pathology Laboratory — Polina Ukolova (Ukolova P.A., Mikenkina M.A., Soldatov V.O., Vinokurov A.Yu.) "Recombinant erythropoietin mitigates abnormal mitochondrial membrane potential in hyperexpression of mutant form of FUS protein: study in vitro". 4. The report of the 3rd year student in the specialty 31.05.03 "Dentistry", the research assistant of the Cell Physiology and Pathology Laboratory — Angelina Dolgikh (Dolgikh A.I., Tagunov P.A., Vinokurov A.Yu.) "Assessment of redox balance in brain cells with Hypoxanthin-Guanin-Phosphoribosyl-Transferase enzyme deficiency". The work was supported by the grant of the Government of the Russian Federation № 075-15-2019-1877 "Mitochondria as targets in the mechanism of neurodegenerative diseases".
