R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics

PhD student, trainee researcher of R&D Center of Biomedical Photonics Mariya Filina will perform the project "Development of multimodal method of microcirculatory disorders diagnosis in psoriasis" under the supervision of Dr. N. B. Margaryants at ITMO University (Faculty of Applied Optics) from February to June 2019.

Employees of Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonic (master's student, trainee researcher Elena Zharkikh, PhD student Ekaterina Bryanskaya and researcher Victor Dremin) successfully passed the competition to participate in São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Modern Topics in Biophotonics (March 20-29, 2019, São Carlos, Brazil).

Student of the new technological master course "Biomedical photonics and electronics" of 12.04.04 "Biotechnical systems and technologies" programme (Department of "Instrument Engineering, Metrology and Certification"), opened in the framework of the strategic project of the support university "National Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics" (in 2018 year - “University clinic of socially significant diseases”), Elena Zharkikh is currently undergoing an internship at the University of Oulu (Oulu, Finland).

December 3, 2018, leading researcher of Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics Andrey Dunaev gave a lecture "Multimodal diagnostics of blood microcirculation and tissue ability" in Optoelectronics and Measurement Techniques Unit of University of Oulu (Finland).

 Employees of Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics took part in the 15th international conference LALS-2018 (Laser Applications in Life Sciences) at the University of Bar-Ilan (Israel).

Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics, acting as one of the strategic projects of the flagship university (“University Clinic of Socially Important Diseases”) joined the all-Russian event “Day without turnstiles” organized by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and the All-Russia Science Festival "NAUKA 0+".

September 24-29, 2018 the XXII international conference "Saratov Fall Meeting - 2018" was held at Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky.

  September 20-22, 2018, the delegation of Orel State University named after I. S. Turgenev took part in the Science Festival of Southwestern Russia in Belgorod.

September 17, 2018 the open lecture by Professor Kirill Larin (Biomedical Optics Laboratory, University Of Houston, Texas, USA) was held in Orel State University. The topic of lecture was "Structural and Functional Imaging of Tissues with Optical Coherence Tomography/Elastography".

Employees of the Research and Development Center of Biomedical Photonics Irina Makovik and Elena Zharkikh, who is also a Master's student of the new direction "Biomedical Photonics and electronics", participated in the "International School on Light Science and Technologies", held from 25 to 29 June 2018 at the Menendez Pelayo International University.
